Catnyx Consultants began with a single laptop and a computer science diploma not a business plan. What started as a college project building and selling websites evolved, over several years and two countries, into a business setup consultancy helping entrepreneurs establish companies across the UAE. This is that journey.

Where It Began
In 2017, while pursuing a diploma in Computer Science at JMU, Mr. Umair started building and selling websites running the operation virtually while still in college. What began as a way to apply his coding skills quickly turned into his first taste of running a business.
First Clients
From Government Projects to Private Clients
His early website projects included work for government clients. But Mr. Umair saw greater opportunity in the private sector and made the shift relying on direct cold calling to win his first private clients. It was a hands-on, unglamorous way to build a client base, and it taught him how to sell, negotiate, and deliver skills that would define his career going forward.
The Move
The Dubai Chapter
Looking to grow beyond India, Mr. Umair travelled to Dubai in search of IT clients for his web development work. He secured some website clients, but building the kind of long-term professional network needed to scale wasn't happening the way he'd hoped. Rather than turning back, he pivoted taking a job in digital marketing at a business setup consultancy in Dubai. It was his first real exposure to the business setup industry, and the start of a new direction.
2021
Building in Two Markets
While working in Dubai, Mr. Umair kept building on the side. In 2021, he opened an office in Noida, India, giving him a base to operate across both markets Indian entrepreneurs looking to expand into the UAE, and UAE-based operations to support them. This dual-market structure remains at the core of how Catnyx Consultants operates today.
2023
The Leap
After continuing in business consultancy roles into 2023, Mr. Umair made the decision to go independent. He co-founded a business setup consultancy in partnership, running it for eight months. That experience gave him the clarity he needed and led him to found Catnyx Consultants on his own.

Today, Catnyx Consultants operates as a business setup consultancy in Dubai, helping entrepreneurs particularly those expanding from India navigate company formation in the UAE, from mainland and free zone licensing to visas and banking.

What's Next
Mr. Umair's next milestone is establishing a dedicated free zone entity under Catnyx a natural next step in a journey that's been defined by building things from the ground up.
